Privacy Policy

FARO is an internal brand and content operations platform operated by Genie Labs, based in Huixquilucan, Estado de México, Mexico. FARO is used to research, plan, publish and measure social media content for brands managed by Genie Labs. This policy explains what information FARO collects, how it is used, and the choices available to account holders.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Name, email address and login credentials of the people who operate FARO.
Connected social account data. When a brand's social media account (for example on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile or X) is expressly connected to FARO through that platform's official authorization process, we receive access tokens and, depending on the platform, basic profile information, the content we publish on that account, and performance metrics (such as impressions, reactions and comments) for that content.
Content and documents. Text, images, video and reference documents that account holders upload to FARO to define a brand's voice and produce its content.
Technical data. Standard logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use information

To publish content to social accounts that have been expressly connected and only after human approval.
To retrieve performance metrics of our own published content and improve each brand's content strategy.
To operate, secure and troubleshoot the platform.

What we do not do. We do not sell personal information. We do not use data obtained from social platform APIs to build profiles of third parties. We do not scrape platforms; all platform data is obtained through official, authorized APIs. Data from one brand's workspace is never shared with another brand.

3. Legal bases and compliance

We process personal data in accordance with Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and, where applicable, the terms and developer policies of each connected platform, including the Meta Platform Terms, LinkedIn API Terms, TikTok Developer Terms and Google API Services User Data Policy. FARO's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4. Data retention

Connected-account tokens are stored securely and retained only while the connection remains active. Content and analytics data are retained while the related brand workspace is active. Technical logs are retained for up to 12 months.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers required to operate FARO (cloud hosting, database and AI processing providers), each bound by confidentiality obligations, and with the social platforms to which content is published at the account holder's direction. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Security

Access tokens and credentials are stored encrypted. Access to FARO is restricted to authorized Genie Labs operators. Brand workspaces are isolated at the database level.

7. Your rights and choices

Account holders may access, correct or delete their information at any time by contacting us.
Any connected social account can be disconnected at any time from within FARO or by revoking access from the platform's own settings (for example, Facebook's "Apps and Websites" settings). Revoking access immediately invalidates our tokens.

8. Children

FARO is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
